I use a combination of hand engraving and Guilloché to create intricate decorative designs on silver. Guilloché is a type of engraving created by a hand-operated Rose Engine Lathe. The patterns are cut into the metal in a similar way to hand engraving, and like hand engraving, the cuts are bright and reflective giving the patterns greater depth and movement. The crowns are also very subtly domed and shaped in ways that further enhance how the silver reflects light.
